GOLF IN BELEK 

Turkey was once the undiscovered golf destination of Europe but in the past couple of years that position has changed dramatically. Scandinavian, German and French golfers have long known about Turkey as the perfect golf resort but with the help of various tour operators, the number of British golfers has increased dramatically.
The resort of Belek is home to most of the best golf in Turkey. It has great beaches, a stunning mountain backdrop and over 300 days of sunshine each year. At present the resort has 6 full courses, 2 with 27 holes, plus 2 academy courses, each set in its own beautifully landscaped gardens, and the courses are in excellent condition. There are plans for another 15 courses within the next 10 years, with 6 already under construction bringing the total to an amazing 20 golf courses. Belek Golf Resort has plans to become Europe’s premier golfing destination and 2 of the courses to be built are being designed by Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo. The Gloria and Nobilis Courses, home to the European Seniors' qualifying school and to the Turkish Seniors' Open, are at one end of the resort and offer a superb day's golf. At the other end of the resort, but only ten minutes away, are the National Golf Club, the oldest Golf Club in Belek and a David Feherty design, Tat Golf, 27 holes of glorious golf laid out along a strip between the Med and the Taurus Mountains, and the new Antalya Golf Club with 2 courses : Pasha and Sultan. All courses are impressive with true greens and a host of hazards to test the golfer.
In planning the course, the architects took into special account the wishes and expectations of European golfers. The perfect sight of the golf courses present the wonderful panorama and landscape of the neighbourhood while providing the golf players with golf pleasure and struggle. Some annex fields are being planned for the development of the golf facilities. All new golf facilities to be established will naturally undertake the protection of the forest and environment.

With constant sunshine, wonderful food, hospitality and some impressive sightseeing within one hours drive, you can understand why Belek is becoming so popular.
